CAMDEN — Camden Police Chief Bo Woody has confirmed that the suspect from a homicide has not been arrested.
Woody stated that from what has been gathered so far, the manager of Mac's Fresh Food Market in Garden Oaks Shopping Center was walking to make a deposit on behalf of the store when he was shot in the chest. The shooter stole the money the victim was carrying before leaving the scene. The victim later died at the Ouachita County Medical Center.
As of now, the only descriptive details of the suspect is that he was a black male, wearing a hoodie and other dark clothing at the time of the shooting.
Woody also said that he along with an investigating officer were in the process of interviewing witnesses from the incident and stated that he had reached out to the Arkansas State Police to help bring the suspect to justice.
“We have a few members from the Arkansas State Police here as well,” Woody said. “So we are hoping to close on a few leads before the end of the night.”
