— A man was arrested early this morning in connection to counterfeit money and drugs.

Corey Kenta Williams, 37, 306 Grinstead, was taken into custody today as a result of an ongoing investigation involving stolen firearms, drugs, and counterfeit money.

Ouachita County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division Sgt. Vincent Mills spoke with the Camden News about the situation.

Mills said that CID had been investigating since early November the theft of 19 firearms in Bearden.

Larry Jarell Moore, 22, 740 North Plum St., Bearden and Dalton Chambliss were also arrested for their involvement in the theft and after an interview with the two suspects, authorities were led to believe that the firearms had been sold to Williams in exchange for drugs.

OCSO and the Camden Police Department executed a warrant at Williams’ residence and reportedly recovered two stolen guns, one of which proved to be from the Bearden theft.

Law enforcement also reportedly found ammunition for both guns, a pound of marijuana, $2,500 in cash, and around $500 in counterfeit money.

Williams was charged with two counts of possession of drugs and firearms, possession of Schedule 4 controlled substances, illegal use of a communication facility, maintaining a drug premises, and theft by receiving.
