CAMDEN — The Camden Police Department and the Animal Control Division are hosting a “Pet of the Week” item each week to feature animals in the local pound. Employees at the local pound are trying to find homes for the animals before they are euthanized.
As an added incentive for residents to adopt one of these dogs, Dr. James Rocconi of the Camden Animal Hospital is donating his services for an adopted dog’s first visit free of charge.
The veterinary visit will include worming, vaccines and a wellness check-up, and Rocconi says he will also spay or neuter the adoptee for half price. The animal featured this week is a black and white female mixed-breed dog described as "very gentle." For more information, call Texann Shadden at the CPD at 836-5755.
