First Baptist is set to

celebrate anniversary

First Baptist Church, 404 Martin Luther King St. in Smackover, will celebrate it’s 92nd Church Anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest pastor and church will be the Rev. Bruce Porchia and Good Hope Baptist Church of Stephens.

New Mt. Hebron hosts

appreciation program

New Mt. Hebron B.C. will hold a "Third Appreciation Service" for it’s youth ministers, Willie Wayne and Erica Johnson, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest church will be Concord Baptist Church.

Shiloh A.M.E. Church

to have anniversary

Shiloh A.M.E. Church in Chidester will hold it’s 107th Church Anniversary and Annual Homecoming at 3:00 p.m. Sunday. Guests will be the Rev. Marco Giles and Eastern Star Baptist Church of Gurdon.

The church will also hold a three-night revival from July 6-8.

Vacation Bible School

Chidester Baptist Church, 161 Tates Bluff Road in Chidester, will hold Vacation Bible School from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 11. The event is for children pre-kindergarten through sixth grade and will feature Bible lessons, water slides, games, and obstacle course and a prize closet. Participants are asked to wear athletic shoes and clothes that can get messy. A change of clothes may be taken to the event. Grtr. New Calvary to

host day for women

Greater New Calvary Church of God in Christ, 3150 Arkansas 7 South, will hold a women's prayer breakfast entitled "King's Daughter, Regenerated and Refueled by the Holy Spirit" at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 11. Guest speakers will be the Rev. Aletha King, Missionary Lizzie Williams and Evangelist June Rogers Joseph. The event will be held in the fellowship hall at the church. The cost to attend is $5, and tickets can be purchased at the door.

The church's Annual Women's Revival will be held at 7 p.m. nightly from July 15-17. The guest speaker on July 15 will be Evangelist Dorothy Butler; on July 16, the Rev. Nicole McGhee; and on July 17, Evangelist Gail Stith.

McCarver-Rowe Farm

Summer Christian camps will be held at McCarver-Rowe Farm in Chidester. Kid’s day camp for kids who have completed kindergarten - fourth grade will be held from July 20-21. Youth camp for kids who have completed fifth-11th grade will be held from July 23-25. Volunteers and donations are welcome. Parents that volunteer will get discounts.
