Elliott Baptist to hold

Vacation Bible School

Elliott Baptist Church, 4189 Hwy. 376 South, will hold a one-day Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday for children ages five years through sixth grade. There will be Bible stories, crafts, songs, and games. Lunch will be served.

celebrate anniversary

New St. James AME Church will celebrate its 147th church anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Keith Cranberry of Curry Chapel AME Church in Strong will be the guest speaker.

Whitis Chapel AME Church will hold its annual homecoming program at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Guests will be the Rev. William Colbert Sr. and Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon.
