Williams cited in more incidents

— FAYETTEVILLE - Suspended since July 22 from the University of Arkansas basketball team along with Razorbacks teammates Anton Beard and Dustin Thomas after their arrest last week on suspicion of forgery, senior-to-be 6-8 forward Jacorey Williams, according to a report by the Southwest Times Record, was named in two Fayetteville police reports on July 5 and July 18 regarding alleged incidents at a Fayetteville nightclub.

According to a July 5 report, Essence Singleton, reportedly Williams' girlfriend at the time, told police that Williams "pushed her to the ground" at the Lit Lounge in Fayetteville after she put her hand on his chest and approached him about money she said was owed to her.

According to a report, Bryan Jones, a bouncer at Lit Lounge, stepped between them.

On July 18, Jones told police while checking ID's outside the Lit Lounge that he was punched in the face and briefly knocked out.

Two others in security at the nightclub reported seeing a black man punch Jones and "run back into the crowd."

They later identified Williams, according to the Times-Record.

As of Wednesday morning, the Fayetteville City Prosecutor's office had received no complaints regarding either of the alleged incidents at the Lit Lounge

The University of Arkansas has not commented on any of the players since announcing their July 22 suspension.

Beard, a sophomore to-be returning starting point guard, Thomas, a redshirting junior transfer from the University of Colorado, and Williams were arrested on suspicion of spending counterfeit money.

All are free on $2,500 bond and await an Aug. 24 court date.
