WCC lists its Christmas activities

— The Women’s Crisis Center of South Arkansas is starting its annual Christmas fundraisers, which include letters from and pictures with Santa Claus.

Each year, the WCC has Santa fundraisers in which all proceeds go to helping those who need help from the organization - which is dedicated to helping those who are affected by domestic violence and/or sexual abuse.

Letters from Santa are personally written for each child on Santa’s personal stationary and mailed with a postmark from the North Pole. The cost of each letter is $10. Order forms can be picked up at the Women’s Crisis Center Office, or one can be sent by email or fax. A plain piece of paper can be used as long as the following are included: The child’s name, age, address, boy or girl, pet’s name, accomplishments since last Christmas, presents wanted, and a phone number.

Order forms and payments can be sent to Letters from Santa, P.O. Box 1149, Camden, AR 71711. Checks should be made out to the Women’s Crisis Center.

The deadline for a North Pole post mark is Dec. 8., letters ordered after this date will still be sent, but will have a local postmark.

The letters are timed to arrive right before Christmas.

WCC also hosts “Pictures with Santa Claus.” Every Saturday from Nov. 28 until Dec 19, Santa will be at the Garden Oaks Shopping Center from noon until 5 p.m. Children can tell Santa what they want for Christmas and have a picture taken with him for a fee.
