Fundraiser for The HUB is set for Feb. 7

— A fundraiser to benefit the Christian Health Center and The Hub will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at What’s Cookin’ in downtown Camden on Sunday, Feb. 7.

The Hub is still a relatively new resource in the area, but its purpose is to connect the points between available resources in the community.

The organization has a goal of enabling members of the community to improve their quality of life by assessing the needs of underprivileged residents and develop a workable plan to deal with challenges facing that individual or family.

Possibilities include financial and budget counseling, job training and educational opportunities.

Help will also be provided when one of the members of the community faces an emergency situation.

“We are grateful for the community support through the opening months of work at the HUB," stated The Hub Chairman Johnny Hobbie.

"The donations and volunteer spirit of this community continually encourage me. Our people have a heart for those in need. Together, we will be able to work to make a difference. Sunday is a time when we can share a meal, enjoy fellowship, and continue our support of this great effort."

The menu for Sunday's fundraiser includes a drink and the choice of a six piece chicken quesadilla with set up or dipping sauce or a two piece fried catfish fillet plate with French fries.

Dessert will also be available for $2.

Tickets for the lunch fundraiser are $10 in advance and are available at The Christian Health Center.

Tickets can also be ordered and delivered by calling the CHC. Tickets will also be available at the door for $12.
