Allie Cecil's Lady Cardinals are hoping that the momentum from a big road win will carry over to the Birdhouse today. The Lady Cardinals defeated Hot Springs last Thursday in five sets; 24-26,25-14,18-25,25-21 and 15-4.
In that game, junior Makenna Smith led the team in assist with 18 while sophomore Anna Dawson had 24 digs. Smith chipped in with 19 digs and senior Kimberlee Jackson had 12. Jackson along with her classmate Ebony Williams each had nine kills and Kynzia Morgan added eight. Sarah Key collected six big blocks as the team only had six serving errors. The Lady Cardinals beat El Dorado earlier this month 3 sets to 1. The Lady Cardinal will play El Dorado at home at 4:30 p.m. today.
