The Bearden Jr. Bears are the back-to-back Union County Tournament Champions after beating Smackover 46-42.
It wasn't easy, by any means, as the game stayed close throughout. However, a couple of technical fouls on a Smackover player changed the game.
"We came out kinda sluggish," Jr. Bears Head coach Anthony Hammonds said. "I think they underestimated Smackover a little bit because we had beat them pretty decisively earlier in the season.
"We were only up four at the half and I asked them (Jr. Bears) 'are y'all ready to play now?' The third quarter - we really kicked it into another gear and locked them down defensively. It was a close game down to the last two minutes."
Devon Baker led the Jr. Bears with 19 points followed by Zion Waller with 13 points.
