Margie M. Byrd Couch, 83, of Magnolia, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at the Magnolia Health and Rehabilitation Center in Magnolia.

Margie was born on April 14, 1934 in Buckner, to the late Clyde A. and Della Marie (Cearley) Byrd. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Magnolia. She was also a member of the Women’s Missionary Auxiliary (WMA) at First Baptist Church, and a member of the Eastern Star. Margie was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to her own and many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles M. Couch Sr.; brother, Truman Byrd; sister, Mary Turnage; and brothers-in-law, James H. Rader, J.C. Turnage, and Roy Savoy.

Margie is survived by her son, Charles M. Couch Jr. and wife, Debbie, of Magnolia; daughters, Judy Couch Abernathy and husband, Bill, of Camden, and Janet Couch Rich and husband, John, of Magnolia; granddaughters, Jennifer Couch Saulsbury and husband, Jason, of Smackover, Julie Couch Lefeuvre and husband, Shaun, of Plano, Texas, Amy Jillian Couch Fronek and husband, Louis ,of Magnolia, and Vivian Mooney Graham and husband, T.C., of Magnolia; grandsons, Jeremy Hughes and wife, Jill, of Magnolia, Christopher Morrison and wife, Rachel, of Magnolia, and Colton Morrison and wife Sarah of El Paso, Texas; eight great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; sisters, Dorothy Savoy of Magnolia, Betty Rader of Shongaloo, Louisiana, and Christene Ray of Magnolia; and sister-in-law, Velta Byrd of Stamps.

Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia is in charge of the arrangements.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with Bro. David Watkins officiating. Burial will be at the Magnolia City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jase Saulsbury, Josh Saulsbury, Trey Fronek, Tyler Fronek, Jeremiah Hughes, Jeremy Hughes, Christopher Morrison, and Colton Morrison. Honorary pallbearers will be JW Hughes, Josie Hughes, Joleigh Saulsbury, Jesse Saulsbury, and Ian Reitzell.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
