In Week 6, a versatile Bearden Bear comes up with two take-aways, a Harmony Grove junior quarterback completes 75 percent of his passes for three touchdowns and two Camden Fairview Cardinals make key plays to position their teams for wins. These student athletes have been named the Camden News "Players of the Week."

The "Players of the Week" feature is sponsored by Farmers Bank & Trust.

Usually noted for his performances at quarterback, it was Bearden's Tyler Berry's performance on defense that helped his team secure a 8-6 win against Parkers Chapel last week.

Berry came up with two fourth quarter interceptions-one in the end zone.

It was a total team effort in the Cardinals 27-20 win over Magnolia last week, but two players shined in what had been areas of concern for the Cards. Camden Fairview's Demetrius "DX" Moore and Nic Fogle made critical plays on Friday night. The Cardinals have had its up and down inside the red zone this season with turnovers and special teams, but this week, Moore was the answer with two touchdown runs of 18 yards and 9 yards.

Moore went on to finish the game averaging 9-yards per carry.

Fogle had his best night punting the ball averaging 42 yards per punt with a late punt landing at the Magnolia 1-yard line thanks to the timely hustle of the coverage team. Fogle also flipped the field with a mid-fourth quarter kick off return of 45 yards to put the Cardinals in Magnolia territory at the 30-yard line.

Harmony Grove's Gannon Bearden ability to find the right receiver led to a blowout win over Woodlawn, 64-21.

Bearden went three-for-four in the air for 155 yards.

He had touchdown passes of 37, 42 and 76 yards without any interceptions.
