Jerrun Andrew Lewis, 58, of Rosston, died on June 2, 2018, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado.

He was born on July 18, 1959, in Rosston, to Cleveland and Mae Lewis. He received his education within the Cale School District. While in school, he loved to play basketball and let him tell it, he was really good. Like all individuals with a country upbringing, he was given a nickname and the nickname that stuck to him was “Bo Baby.” He loved all things outside including fishing, hunting, grilling and working on cars. He was a logger by trade, but if you needed your vehicle worked on, he was the ‘go-to guy.’ He married Alice Haynie early in life, and to this union four children were born. He attended Cross Road Church of God In Christ in Chidester.

He was preceded in death by his father; two sisters; and two brothers.

He is survived by his mother, Mae Christopher; his wife, Lakeisha Howard Lewis; his children, Alicia Smith of Chester, Virginia, Lakesha Lewis of Hope, Jerrun Junior Lewis, Jenny Lewis, and Jeremy Cortez Beasley; sisters, Katrina Fleming of Camden, Brenda McKinney of Rosston, and Malvette Christopher of El Dorado; brothers, Willie Antonio Christopher and Derrick Christopher - both of Rosston; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

R.L. Reed Funeral Home of Magnolia is in charge of the arrangements.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home chapel in Magnolia, with burial at Pine Grove Cemetery in Rosston. The Rev. Allen Yarbrough will officiate the services.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Saturday the funeral home.
