Lillian Faye Clemens Mathis, 85, of Sharpsburg, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, in the Piedmont Newnan Hospital in Newnan, Georgia.

She was born on June 21, 1932, in Seminole, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late James and Lennie Mae Bobo Prieast. She was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God Church in Kermit, Texas, and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, E. B. “Red” Clemens in 1992, and Floyd Mathis in 2010; granddaughter, Erica James Torres in 2015; daughter, Shirley Clemens Kennedy in 2013; son-in-law, Donald Kennedy in 2018; and two sisters, Ann Cook and Joy Bearden.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Frank and Mae James of Newnan, Georgia; son, Elbert Clemens of New Orleans, Louisiana; four granddaughters, Angela James Woodruff (Brady) of Newnan, Georgia, Donna A. Kennedy Carrasco (Rene) of San Antonio, Texas, Heather Walker (John) of Fort Worth, Texas, and Christi Clemens also of Fort Worth; a grandson-in-law, Rolondo Torres; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Proctor Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Cemetery in Bearden with the Rev. Terry Morgan officiating.
