Betts signs with Arkansas State

Camden Fairview student athlete Lexi Betts is joined by her parents and coaches as she signs her national letter of intent to continue her softball career with the Arkansas State Red Wolves. The signing was held at the CF High School library and was attended by Betts’ teammates, friends and family. Also, members of C.F. Administration were on hand to help with the celebration. Camden Fairview student athlete Lexi Betts is joined by her parents and coaches as she signs her national letter of intent to continue her softball career with the Arkansas State Red Wolves. The signing was held at the CF High School library and was attended by Betts’ teammates, friends and family. Also, members of C.F. Administration were on hand to help with the celebration.

“We want Arkansas State to know, that they are getting one of our best here at the school,” C.F. Athletic Director Ricky Tucker said regarding Betts. “We’re proud of her being able to have the opportunity to go play softball... We are hoping that she will have another stellar spring and we can get back to the state playoffs again and make some noise this time.”

Betts has made the all conference team as a sophomore and a junior under CF Head Softball Coach Kendra Center The team has also advanced to the state playoffs in consecutive years. Betts leads the team with a remarkable 194 strikeouts over the past two season.

“Congratulations I’m proud of you,” Centers said to Betts during the ceremony. “But we’re not done.”

The Lady Cardinal softball team has already been hard at work for the upcoming season and will hold a camp in December.
