CAMDEN — Financial adviser Michael Smith of Edward Jones has accepted an invitation to become a Limited Partner in the Jones Financial Cos., the holding company for the St. Louis-based financial services firm.
“I am honored to be invited to become a Limited Partner,” Smith said. “I enjoy working for Edward Jones and I am very proud of the way we do business and the way we treat our clients.”
Mike Smith joined Edward Jones in 2011 but has served investors in Camden for the past 4 years. He has also served as a board member for the Camden Kiwanis Club and is a member of the Camden Chamber of Commerce.
He and his wife, Cindy, reside in Camden. The couple has three adult children - son Andrew (Brittany), daughter Rachel Hazelip (Andy) and son Nathan.
The Jones Financial Cos. was created in 1987 to enable the firm to expand into new business area while allowing it to remain a partnership. The Jones Financial Cos. owns Edward Jones and Co., L.P., and its international financial-services subsidiary, Edward Jones Canada.
