To paraphrase a famous quote from the (in)famous Richard Nixon, “I am not a Republican,” despite my conservative leanings. But let the record show that I am not a Democrat, either, though I do subscribe to a few of that party’s political positions, nor am I a Tea-Partier.

What I am is a card-carrying member of the Common Sense Party, though you’ll likely never find a candidate running on that ticket since the party itself doesn’t exist. And if you ask me, that’s part of the problem.
