Martha Murel Forrest Reeme, 72, of Kingsland, died on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2010, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.

Born on April 30, 1937, in Monticello, she was the daughter of the late Frank Forrest and Pearl Dodson Forrest. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Houston C. Reeme Sr.; a son, James Franklin Reeme; a sister, Annie Forrest; and three brothers, James, Rufus and Frank Forrest.

She is survived by five sons, Houston C. Reeme Jr. and his wife, Becky, of Glen Allen, Va., Rufus Bartley Reeme of El Dorado, Richard Dale Reeme and his wife, Patsy, of Glen Allen, Kevin Edward Reeme and his wife, Connie, of Junction City, La., and Phillip Earl Reeme of Kingsland; two daughters, Kathryn Marie O’Banion and her husband, Charles, of Kingsland, and Lawanda Kaye Thompson and her husband, Gary Don, of El Dorado; two brothers, Earnest and Earl Forrest, both of Monticello; two sisters, Susie Cattles of Wyoming and Lucille Protack of Delaware; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in Benton Chapel. Burial will be in Promise Land Cemetery in Hamburg under the direction of Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
