Sandra Russell
Sandra Lynn Russell, 47, was taken Feb. 10, 2010, to her heavenly home.
She was born on Nov. 29, 1962, at Dallas, Texas, to Randolph and Monteen Russell. She was a great daughter, sister, and a friend to many. She was a trooper throughout her life and never complained about the challenges she was faced with daily. She wrote to everyone, including the Oak Ridge Boys, and Terry Sanders who performs in Branson, Mo. She had a strong love for writing, listening to music, and reading her bible. She loved to write letters to her family and friends and would always ask for a picture. Adorned on her wall, she had every picture strategically taped and could tell you about that picture. But most of all, she loved to sit for hours listening to the old songs of the Statler Brothers and the Oak Ridge Boys. She will be deeply missed and always loved. She was preceded in death by her mother, Monteen Moore Russell; her maternal grandparents, J. P. and Myrtle Moore; and paternal grandparents, Earl and Eleanor Russell. She is survived by her father, Randolph Russell and wife, Shelba Myers Russell; two sisters, Dana Shuffler and husband, Keith, of Magnolia, Texas, and Beverly Spicer and husband, Jamie, of Camden; stepbrothers, Eric Myers of Wilmar, and Kevin Myers of Ada, Okla.; five nieces, Rachel Kopil and husband, Mark, of Houston, Texas, Rebecca Spicer of Camden, Jade and Lily Shuffler of Magnolia, Texas, and Anna Myers; four nephews, Ryan Spicer and wife, Kristy, of Camden and Titus Spicer of Camden, Christian Myers and Casey Myers; two great-nephews, Zachary Spicer and Austin Spicer; one great-niece, Sarah Spicer; and many other family members and a host of friends. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Baptist Church, with burial in Mt. Horeb Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. To sign the online guest register, visit www.proctorfuneralhome.com. |
