Chris Ellen of Malvern and formerly of El Dorado, died on Tuesday Feb. 9, 2010, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.

Christopher Sidney Ellen was born on Dec. 18, 1958, in Little Rock. He was adopted in September 1959 by Ray and Marilyn Ellen of El Dorado.

Chris is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Theresa Ellen of Malvern; a stepson, Sean Markcum of Hot Springs; his mother, Marilyn Ellen; father, Ray Ellen; stepmother, Ann Ellen; brother Scott Ellen and his wife, Carol, all of El Dorado; and a sister, Nancy Cathey and her husband, Joe, of Godley, Texas.

Chris enjoyed his pets, canoeing, discussions about Bible history and observing weather, especially thunderstorms. He had an excellent sense of humor.

Visitation will take place at First Baptist Church Christian Life Center at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. A celebration of life and fellowship will follow at 5:30.
