Virginia Kay Carroll, born July 16, 1946, died Feb. 24, 2010.

She retired from the United States Postal Service after 20 years of service. She loved fishing, crocheting, working in her yard and reading a good book.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady Kinley and Winnie Mae Snearly; her sister, Winnie Janice McNabb; two nephews, Keith Allen Snearly and Kevin Wayne Snearly.

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Henry Wayne Carroll; one brother, Kenneth Leroy Snearly and wife, Kathy; four children; three step-children and their respective spouses; 18 grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; two nieces; two nephews and their respective spouses; and seven great-nieces and nephews.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial in Bethesda Cemetery. The Rev. Dewey Rhodes will be officiating.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
