William Curtis Harper, 69, of Star City, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010. He was born on Aug. 12, 1940, in Star City.

Preceding him in death were son-in-law, Ronald Lerenz Welch; and granddaughter, Faith Elizabeth Reed.

He is survived by is wife, Patricia Harper; daughters, Elizabeth Reed and Sandra Blasengame; sisters, Winnie Powell, Betty O’Bryant and Brenda Weeks; and grandchildren, Seth Reed, and Dustin, Anna and Fisher Blasengame.

Arrangements are by Griffin Funeral Home in Star City.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel in Star City. Burial will be at Drake Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Bank of Star City for the American Cancer Society, JBE Relay for Life Team’s Cancer Survivor Banquet.
