RAYMOND BROWN

Raymond Harold Brown, 91, died on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at his residence in Camden.

He served in the Armed Forces for three years in the China, Burma, and India areas. Afterward he worked for International Paper Co. and later retired from the United States Postal Service. 

He was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Camden. 

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, William Coulter and Noma Paul Brown; one brother; and one sister. 

He is survived by his wife of nearly sixty-nine years, Lois Threadgill Brown; a daughter, Myra Brown Harris and her husband, Rod; two grandchildren and their spouses; and four great-grandchildren.

Interment will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery followed by a service at First Presbyterian Church in Camden at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. today. Arrangements are under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home in Camden.

The family extends their special thanks to caregivers Earnestine Carroll, Inez Graham and Bobbie Owens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the First Presbyterian Church of Camden, 313 Greening St., Camden, AR 71701 or Doctors Home Care and Hospice of Camden, 726 California, Camden, AR 71701.
