RONNIE BELLRonnie Lee Bell, 57, of Waldo, died Friday, March 12, 2010 in the Wentworth Place Nursing Home. He was born Jan. 21, 1953, in Dover, and was preceded in death by his father, Wilburn Bell.
Ronnie dedicated his life and career to law enforcement. He has worked in many capacities for a number of departments including Little Rock Police, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Pulaski County, Columbia County, Magnolia Police, Magnolia Public School Resource Officer, Explorers program, patrols, and most recently, Central Dispatch, and volunteered numerous hours at the Boys and Girls Club for over 20 years. He is survived by his three sons, Christopher Bell of Magnolia, Brandon Dyson of Magnolia, Jessie Dyson of Ivan, La.; mother, Dorothy Bell of North Little Rock; two brothers, Terry Bell of North Little Rock and Harold Wayne Bell of North Little Rock; one sister, Linda Bell of North Little Rock; and three grandchildren, Kaylee Marie Dyson, Jessie Wayne Dyson Jr., and Trevor James Dyson, all of Waldo. Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Lewis Chapel with Pastor Tom Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home Inc. of Magnolia. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Chief Robert Gorum, Doug Wood, Glenn Proctor, Chuck Haynes, Issac Pace, Tommy Wood, and David Smith.
