Angela Marie Hickman Scott, 44, of Camden, passed away on March 18, 2010, at her mother’s home.

She was born on Dec. 24, 1965, the daughter of Frank and Juanita Hickman Carter. She attended primary schools in Camden and graduated from Camden High School in 1984. She gave her heart to the Lord as a young woman and attended Victory Church for many years, and Zion Hill Baptist Church. She was joined in marriage to Robert Scott on July 10, 1992, and he was her loving husband for 18 years until her untimely passing.

She worked as a certified for Doctor’s Home Care for several years and also worked at Valley Oaks nursing home, Tracor and finally at the Camden News.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kanisha Scott; and her father.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Scott of Camden; her mother, Juanita Hickman Carter of Camden; two sons, Eric Hickman of Dallas, Texas and Corey Hickman of Camden; three stepsons, Tyrone Scott and Decorey Scott of Camden and Robert T. Scott of Portland, Ore.; three stepdaughters, Shlonda Rivers and Crystal Scott of Camden and Tiffany Jones of Magnolia; two granddaughters; 13 step-grandchildren; three sisters, Wanda Bryant of Magnolia, Thelma Hickman and Legar Hickman, both of Camden; two brothers, Ronald Hickman of Fordyce and Jessie Samuels of El Dorado; a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at New St. James A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Stanley McCoy and the Rev. T.W. Scott officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday.
