Connie Eloise Morgan, 83, of El Dorado, died on Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.

Born on Jan. 27, 1927, in Warren, she was the daughter of Thomas Elvin and Ella Josephine Beard Smith.

Mrs. Morgan was a homemaker and a member of Murmil Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death along with her parents were her husband, William Louin Morgan; a brother, Earl Smith; sisters Ercell Rogers and Nancy “Cricket” Barnes; and a cousin, Clifton Robbins.

Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Attaway (Jimmy) of El Dorado; four sons, William Michael Morgan (Kathie) of Dayton, Texas, Thomas Allen Morgan (Kathy) of El Dorado, Jerry Morgan (Melody) of Smackover and Tim Morgan of El Dorado. Also surviving is one brother, John Henry Smith (Eva Ray) of Hermitage; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Monday in Bailey Chapel with Revs. Billy Smith and Ben Wasson officiating. Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. in McFarland Cemetery in Banks, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home in El Dorado.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 tonight at the funeral home.
