Doris Mae Hanson, 81, of Benton, formerly of Clyde, Texas, died on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, in Benton.

Funeral was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday in the Chapel of Parker Funeral Home in Baird, Texas. Interment followed in Ross Cemetery, Spencer-Price Addition, in Baird.

She was a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, and was a retired accountant of Dresser Industries of Houston. She was a member of the Clyde United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis E. Hanson; a daughter, Mary Self; a son, Duke Womack; and one sister and a brother.

Survivors include three sons, Richard Womack and his wife, Brenda, of Benton, Chris Hanson and his wife, Joyce, of Houston, and Tim Hanson of Santa Monica, Calif.; two daughters, Debbie Campbell and her husband, Bob, of St. Louis, Mo., and Diana Risha and her husband, Eddie, of Conroe, Texas; two brothers, Kenneth Burson and his wife, Ann, of Hampton, and Jack Burson and his wife, Gina, of Superior, Colo.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who cherished her as “Nannie.”
