Edna Pickett

Edna Warren Pickett passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at her home.

She was born on July 10, 1914, in Waynesboro, Tenn., to the late James Patrick and Bertha Holt Warren. She was active in First Christian Church serving as a deacon. She was a hair dresser for many years at the Cameo Beauty Shop, served on the Board of Arkansas Hair Dressers Association, was a member of Business and Professional Women's Club, Business Women Garden Club and was a Hospice volunteer for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pickett; three brothers; one sister; one nephew; and brother-in-law, Ray Pickett.

She is survived by nephews, William Warren of Heber Springs, John Pickett of Camden and Chuck Pickett of Cupertino, Calif.; two nieces, Cephas Ann Beene of Concord and Emily Reed of Heber Springs; sister-in-law, Katie Pickett; and brother-in-law, Charles Pickett and wife, Wanda of Camden.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
