CHARLES KITCHENS

Charles Kitchens, 71, of Magnolia, died Thursday, April 1, 2010, at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. He was born March 9, 1939, in Waldo, to the late William Galen and Dorothy Faye (Brown) Kitchens.

Charles was a member of North Acres Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a real sports fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Janie Newton; son, William Donald Kitchens; grandson, W.T. Newton; and nephew, Jimmy Don Kitchens.

Survivors are his wife of 36 years, Mary Kitchens of Magnolia; sons, Jeff Kitchens of Magnolia, David Kitchens Sr. and wife Michelle of Magnolia; daughters, Tracy Kitchens of Ft. Worth, Texas, Susan Nipper and husband Conrad of Emerson; brother, Jimmy Kitchens and wife Bobbie of Magnolia; nine grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010 at Lewis Chapel with Bro. David Waun officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to North Acres Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Millican, Randy Oliver, David Caswell, Kent Holmes, Robby Kitchens, and George Gaines. Honorary pallbearers will be his great grandsons.
