Opal L. Williams, 82, of Stephens, died on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at the Ouachita County Medical Center.

She was born in Stephens on May 12, 1928. She was retired from the Continental Can Company.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lide Thompson and Mattie Porchia Thompson; her husband, Venus Williams five brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by two sisters, Ive Olds of Inglewood, Calif., and Lottie Davis of Stephens; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Good Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce Porchia officiating. Burial will be at Good Hope Cemetery in Buena Vista.

Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
