Volney Reed Stanberry, III, 61, of Rodgersville, Mo., died on Feb. 7, 2012, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Volney Reed Stanberry Jr.

He is survived by his sons, Clayton Price Stanberry and wife, Sherrie, of Rogersville and Ethan Patrick Stanberry (Kim) of Toledo, Wash.; mother, Eddie Jo Stanberry of Camden; sisters, Sheila Ann Hodges and husband, Charles, of Camden, Venita Marie Hoffman and husband, Steve, of Toledo, Wash., Janet Gail Beaver and husband, Sam, of Camden, Tamie Jo Ray and husband, Casey, of Sunland, Calif., and Tracie Lee Nelson and husband, John, of Simi Valley, Calif.; six grandchildren, Amelia, Briona, Zoi, Gabriel, Samantha, and Dillon; a great-grandchild, Olivia; an uncle, Charlie Whisenhunt and wife, Beverly, of Mesquite, Texas; an aunt, Venita Lou Capps of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Holleman Cemetery in Chidester. The Rev. Jerry Ables will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends from 11: a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
