Sparkman High School, a part of the Harmony Grove School District, was identified as having grade inflation in 2008-2009 in Algebra I and geometry by the Arkansas Department of Education.

In the Camden News edition for Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, an article stated that Harmony Grove was cited for inflating grades. That was an error and is not correct. Harmony Grove High School, located in Ouachita County, did not have inflated grades. Sparkman High School in Dallas County had the inflated grades.
