A couple of news items caught my eye this week, with both qualifying for ‘What were you thinking?” or the Saturday Night Live “Really? Really?” status.

First, there’s the Associated Press report of a 29-year-old woman, Brenna Reilly, who has been indicted for impersonating an FBI agent.

Certainly not the first time that somebody flashed a badge or otherwise impersonated a law enforcement officer.

But Ms. Reilly carried it a bit further. She hired folks. As AP described it, she conned her neighbors into taking jobs as her assistants.
