Cap and trade

The energy bill isn’t dead yet, but there are definite signs it’s an election year.

Reports surfaced Thursday that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., is now pushing a limited version with no cap and trade plan. And given the threat to our economy here in South Arkansas, that’s some good news.

“Unfortunately this Congress, we don’t have a single Republican,” Reid told reporters, as he outlined a revised plan.

Fortunately for us, he didn’t have any Republicans or all the Democrats. Coal state Democrats and representatives like Fourth District Congress...
