The newly-formed Honors College Community Council met for the first time on Jan. 17 at Southern Arkansas University. 

The Honors Council’s main purposes are to publicize the SAU Honors College throughout the region, to provide advice to the honors director and staff, to promote recruitment of honors students, and to mentor honors students. The council will next meet on Wednesday, April 21, just before the annual Honors College Banquet which honors graduating honors students.
