Bearden HS principal’s trial to be March 2

EL DORADO – Expert testimony was heard Tuesday in a motion in limine hearing for Darrell Porter, former superintendent of Smackover Schools, who was arrested Oct. 17, 2008, on charges of driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Porter appealed a guilty ruling in municipal court, which automatically transferred the case to circuit court.

His trial is set for March 2, on the third floor of the Union County Courthouse.
