Doris Grissom has announced that she will seek re-election for the position of justice of the peace in District 3 during the Democratic Primary in May.

Grissom is a lifetime resident of Ouachita County. She and her husband of 60 years, Earl, are retired. They operated a family-owned grocery store in Elliott for more than 40 years. Grissom’s husband is constable of Bridge Creek Township.

Both are members of Elliott Baptist Church and of the Elliott Volunteer Fire Department.

She has been a member of the Ouachita County Quorum Court for seven terms.
