Shirley Hodges has announced that she will seek re-election for the position of justice of the peace in District 6 during the Democratic Primary in May.

Hodges and her husband, Cleovies, are retired. Both are members of Concord Baptist Church, where she serves as musician.

She also serves on several boards, including: Ouachita Industries, Ouachita County HIPPY, and of the Ouachita County Single Parent Scholarship Fund. Hodges also volunteers at the Ouachita County Medical Center.
