Fifth and seventh-grade students throughout Arkansas are invited to participate in the 19th annual "Preserve Our Past" art invitational sponsored by the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program, an agency of the Department of Arkansas Heritage, AHPP director Frances McSwain recently announced.

The students can enter an artwork based on any Arkansas property that is at least 50 years old, focusing on how these places reflect Arkansas history or why it is important to preserve the state's historic places.

All entries must be postmarked by April 15.
