The had to work a little extra to do it, but the Harmony Grove Lady Hornets earned themselves a trip to the Class 3A state tournament on Thursday, downing Bismarck in the first round of the 3A Region 4 tournament 56-53 in overtime.

Charmaine Patterson scored on an offensive rebound at the buzzer to tie the game at 47-47 at the end of regulation, and the Lady Hornets took advantage, outscoring Bismarck 9-6 in the 4-minute overtime.
