Ronny McCloud of Camden Public Works Department places a birdhouse on top of Banks Pawn Shop in downtown Camden. The Camden Appearance Committee bought eight bird houses, built especially to attract purple martins, to be placed around downtown. The committee believes the houses will contribute to the overall appearance of downtown and revive a tradition of placing purple martin houses in the downtown area, committee member Carol Ann Hawkins told the Camden News.
