School officials deal with threat, toy pistol on campus

Around 8:15 a.m. on Friday morning, the Camden Fairview Middle School received a bomb threat via telephone and the school was evacuated, according to school district Superintendent Dr. Jerry Guess. He also addressed a rumor that a middle school student was found in possession of a toy gun.

Guess told the Camden News on Monday that, after the threat was received, middle school Principal Patsy Hughey immediately followed procedure.
