Cardinals fall to Blytheville in OT

ALMA — Last season, Camden Fairview was the No. 4 seed that pulled off the big upset over a No. 1 seed. Unfortunately for the Cardinals, this year they had to experience the other side of the coin.

The Camden Fairview Cardinals, the No. 1 seed from the Southwest conference tournament, was upset by the Blytheville Chickasaws 64-59 in overtime in the first round of the 5A state basketball tournament Tuesday night.

Last season, the Cardinals eliminated the host team Alma in the first round of the playoffs.
