Camden City Council members are considering separating the city’s clerk/treasurer position, splitting the now elected position into an elected clerk’s position and an appointed treasurer’s position.

The council also heard 2009 year-end reports from the police and fire department as well as from Camden Water Utilities.

Meeting in regular monthly session Tuesday, the council agreed to explore the issue following a presentation by current City Clerk/Treasurer Jerry Cross.
