MAGNOLIA — Dawn Marie Wines, 22, of 210 Washington Ave. in Taylor, has been charged with two counts of capital murder in the smothering deaths of her two children last year.

“A judge issued a warrant for two counts, capital murder, for her,” said Columbia County Deputy Prosecutor David Butler. “Basically, the charges are that she suffocated her two children.”

Wines is currently in police custody in New Orleans after being arrested at a residence in Luling, La., in St. Charles Parish....
