Thousands visit Camden during Daffodil Festival

As a matter of policy. officials in Washington, D.C. won’t disclose crowd estimates at rallies because of national security, so the media has learned to measure a crowd based on the amount of trash it leaves behind.

If a lot of trash is an indication of a large crowd, the 17th Annual Camden Daffodil Festival and Garden Tour set an attendance record this year.

“We worked steady from eight to five Friday and again on Saturday,” said Camden parks supervisor Nathion Jenkins. “We worked to about 11 (p.m.) Saturday.”
