Local gymnastics and basketball teams were recognized for winning championships during Tuesday’s meeting of the Camden Fairview School Board.

The Camden Fairview Lady Cardinal gymnastics team was honored for winning its third straight state championship. The team scored 165.75 points to inch ahead of Monticello’s 163.325 Friday to win the state title.

Gymnastics coach Pam Turner was also congratulated for recently being named to the Benton High School Wall of Fame. She is a graduate of Benton and competed as a gymnast. He later attended the University of Central Arkansa...
