The Bearden Lady Bears got a solid pitching outing from junior Shelby McWhorter and scored three runs in the seventh inning to rally for a 4-2 victory over the Norphlet Lady Leopards on Thursday.

The win improves the Lady Bears to 7-6 on the season. After not starting their softball season until basketball season was completely over, Bearden coach Ernie Horstkamp said his team was going to take spring break off after playing 13 games in a little over two weeks.
