Arkansas’ House members split their votes, with three against and one for the $940 billion package that has been President Barack Obama’s chief legislative priority, a goal that has eluded presidents for decades.

Of the three Democrats, only 2nd District Rep. Vic Snyder supported the bill, praising its plan to bring down the deficit by $138 billion over the next 10 years.
