A man who was a jailer of the Ouachita County Jail is now himself an inmate after being arrested for the rape of a juvenile, according to Camden Police Department sergeant of domestic crimes, Tami Poole.

Elvin Scott, 24, of Camden, was arrested Sunday afternoon after an investigation into the case of a juvenile who had been sexually assaulted. The investigation began with the Ouachita County Sheriff’s Office, but was turned over to the Camden Police Department after it was learned that the incident occurred within the city limits, Poole said.
